ABOUT THIS PROJECT
I'm crafting an interactive and educational website to simplify the Korean alphabet for all ages. Utilizing motion graphics, users experience the language visually and audibly, learning through animations, inspired by traditional Korean patterns and elements. This project aims to intersect technology, education, and culture, offering a fun and entertaining way to explore the beauty of the Korean language.
DISCLAIMER
This project is barely near FULL completion. The framework and foundation is 100% done, however the entire Korean alphabet (Hangul) consists of 24 simple letters and 16 complex letters. I only have 4 of the SIMPLE letters since complex letters require ~batchim~받침~ which is the letter stacking involved that create unique sounds based on how each simple letter is stacked.
Each letter requires ideation/cultural relevancy research, storyboarding for design and animation, rendering the vector design in Illustrator, animating it in After Effects, coding and integrating the JSON files to the website, then the never-ending bug fixing to top it all off... probably days worth of work... for each... and every... letter... 40 times (but I only did 4)... in conclusion, I am sleep deprived and hallucinating that the Duolingo bird is breathing down my neck. Hope you enjoy!! *:・゚₍ᐢ•ﻌ•ᐢ₎・゚˖° ♡
